The Tamiya Sanding Sponge Sheet is a flexible, high-quality abrasive sheet designed for precision modelling, surface preparation, and finishing work. Available in multiple grits from 240 (coarse) through to 1500 (ultra-fine), it allows hobbyists to progress from shaping and smoothing to fine polishing with a consistent system.
Each sheet features aluminum oxide abrasive particles bonded to a 5mm thick sponge backing, providing excellent flexibility and control when working on flat, curved, or detailed surfaces. This makes it ideal for removing seam lines, refining cut joints, and preparing parts for painting.
The sponge structure allows for both dry and wet sanding, and each sheet can be easily cut into smaller pieces for precision work on tight or detailed areas.
